Completely honest and God-fearing Job lost everything, and in extreme suffering he once considered himself righteous and was angry and dissatisfied, until he understood that God created the universe, heaven and earth, and all things, possessing all sovereignty and perfect wisdom, love and justice. Therefore, Job saw his own ignorance and pride, and finally humbled himself and repented before God.
The Book of Job leads us to understand that God’s measure of justice is not a one-dimensional scale; nor are God’s love and blessings a reward for our good deeds and virtues. Whether life’s circumstances are filled with the sweet songs of birds and fragrant flowers, or shaken by crumbling mountains and earthquakes, the Book of Job tells us that God is our Heavenly Father who forever loves us!
As for me, I will look to God; I will commit my way to Him.
