Lengthy genealogies that can sometimes make our eyelids heavy, along with the rise and fall of Israel presented through stories of kings – what do these have to do with us? It turns out that the focus of reading scripture is not merely on analyzing objective events or how to apply the text to our lives. Let’s approach the Chronicles with a discipleship perspective, participate in God’s discipleship action, and together live out God’s chronicles!
